The second consortium meeting of the H2020 RIA TARANTULA took place on 5 and 6 November 2019 in Seville, Spain. After the kickoff meeting in June 2019, the M6 meeting has been the first actual progress meeting of TARANTULA. The meeting has been an opportunity for the members of the consortium not only to confidentially present their first results, but especially to strengthen the already good intra- and inter-connections of the work package.s In particular, it emerged that the sample deliveries are well on track and all of the investigated technologies showed their first promising results.
In the evening, a nice social activity was organized with a city tour to discover the elegant and lively old town of Seville, followed by a consortium dinner.
The next M12 meeting (June 2020) is planned at Saloro (Spain) and will be the first of a trilogy of meetings to physically follow the metals processing: from the Barruecopardo mine (M12 – Saloro, Spain) to the extraction and separation units in Belgium (M18 – VITO, KU Leuven and ULiège, Belgium) to the electrodeposition facilities (M24 – Sintef, Norway).
Stay tuned to learn also about these next meetings!
