Tarantula was invited to participate at the EU Raw Materials Week that was held from 13-17 November, 2023 in Brussels. It was a hybrid event gathering a wide range of stakeholders discussing policies and initiatives in the field of raw materials. Tarantula project coordinator, Dr. Lourdes Yurramendi (TEC), contributed with the presentation entitled “Recovery of Tungsten, Niobium and Tantalum occurring as by-products in mining and processing waste streams”.
The 2023 Raw Materials Week was centred around the 10th annual High-level Conference of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on Raw Materials with a focus on the European Critical Raw Materials Act. Topics covered during the event were related to critical and strategic raw materials, strategic projects, investment, permitting, exploration, innovation, circularity, international partnerships etc.
The Week included a EU Raw Materials R&I Day on Monday 13 November, where Tarantula Coordinator, Lourdes Yurramendi, was invited to present the TARANTULA project in the Horizon Technology Success Stories session.
